Not sure about this one, but I assume that maybe one that would have fit the Tercel 4WD, since the rear is supposedly the same. You may want to try http://www.Tercel4WD.com. Also, the regular Corolla mod sites, such as ToyotaCorollaModifications.com might help. I'm curious as well now that you've brought this up; I'll check with a few other places in the meantime.
I also considered this, but wasn't sure about how to do it. Right now I'm trying to figure out which KYB struts & cartridges work on the front, in place of the stock Toyota struts.
From what I have heard, the AE86 rear end was very similar to, possibly the same as, the ae95 rear end. If it is the the same, i'm 90% sure the AE86 had a model with disc brakes.
Yeah the ae86 has the same axle set up the only difference being that the ae86 has a limited slip differential - not sure enough to comment on the brake set up though...
Corolla 4wd??? Does such a thing even exist???!
I don't think the diff would make a difference on the brakes you could use. To be perfectly honest, I'd be surprised if there would even be much of a difference between rear discs and rear drums. I know there would be a difference, but I'm not sure how noticeable it would be.

Discs would be easier to change out the pads than drums, for sure I have to wonder about the proportioning valve, if that would need to be changed as well.

True.., they wouldn't make a difference on the brakes you use, although the AE86 had a few different differential ratios ...& none of them were anything like the AE95's
