Hey thanks for the link! This answers all my questions, and it is very similar tyo the Tercel except mayching the parts is easier! Same deal with the speedo disconnect at the tranny! Took me an hour in the yard to figure that one out! |

I believe there is one more direct swap you can do for these year Corollas... the windshield wiper delay on the steering column has an adjustable delay on some models. From what I've read, you simply plug & play the "better" delay (adjustable time for delay), no need for another relay. I'm not sure which Corollas had that feature, or how easy it is to do. Something I'm considering next time I go to the junkyard (probably need a steering wheel puller). |

Yes you will definitely need a steering wheel puller! Funny ours already has the wiper delay thingie? Nothing else but it does have that, and well AC.
No power windows or door locks and having all those doors and windows to lock and unlock is a PIA but oh well. |

I stand corrected. We don't have the wiper delay thing! I saw it on the All Trac I pulled the dash from. It had cruise control and the wiper delay on the stalk! |

My wiper has a delay, but it's a set increment of time. More like a lower-than-low-speed. There are three speeds total: delay, slow, and fast. From what I understand, the higher model Corollas (All-Trac and FWD) had that wiper delay with the adjustable time increment. I could be wrong, though.
That's another thing in case you didn't already know, you can swap *some* stuff over from the 88-92 regular, FWD Corollas (sedans, wagons). Mostly interior stuff like sunvisors, gauge cluster, armrest/door pull, steering wheel, etc. |

Yeah mine is as you described. The one in the 92 had a bunch of hash marks around it's circumference but it also had cruise control built into. Which would be cool but more than I wanna try and do right now. |

Cool mate!
Excellent right up.
I just bought a new dash cluster on ebay.
I had one like yours but found another that spans all the way across the sheilded dash cavity where the clock is above the centre consol, it's coming in the mail but I found a pic online
I think these were for the Carib Sprinter Japanese models. |

Did you pull the cruise control? I'm slowly assembling the parts to retrofit my A-T with cruise control. Don't forget the cruise control computer in the passenger footwell. |

I've considered putting cruise control into my wagon. I'd so much rather have it than not. Just wondering how much room it takes up in the engine bay, and how much of a nightmare it might be to wire up.
You would need the CC module under the hood and all associated connectors / tubes / etc, CC computer, and CC switch, correct? |

I'll take my camera to the yard tomorrow and get a picture of the engine bay. I did not notice it, so it must fit pretty well. |

There is also a CC module in the passenger footwell (that bump near the lower door jamb). In the engine bay, the cruise control apparatus sits in those empty spots just in front of and in back of the passenger side strut tower. A hose goes from that all the way across the intake manifold where it enters the firewall. I came across an AE92 with a full cruise control and matching interior dash; I wanted to pull it then, but the junkyard was closing, and I did not have time. When I returned the next time the yard was opened, the entire car was gone. Missed opportunity. Oh well, I can live without CC for now even as I slowly gather the CC parts. |
