So I bought one of those Bell personalized license plate frames, only to find it won't properly fit on the back of the car.  Well, it might if I broke those plate tabs at the bottom, even if the rest of that piece is in questionable shape.  Anyways I decided to use this on the front of my wagon, but I was wondering what was originally used to attach a plate to the front bumper?  The two holes I point out in the pic below line up with a USA license plate.  Looks like screws were used since the holes are so small.  Was there originally a license plate frame there?

This is what I wanted to use... I just need to get a generic plate with a space scene on it to put behind this

In comparing your front bumper to mine, it appears that the license plate is just screwed directly into the bumper cover. Seems kinda cheap and flimsy, huh?

Hmm it does... I wonder if I drill out the holes a bit (I presume the holes are not threaded from factory, but the screws are self-tapping), maybe I could find a way to bolt the plate on?
