In search of advice... As my '92 project slowly comes together, I have noticed that at approx 45 mph + the vehicle begins to vibrate, it is most noticeable at about 45-55 then less so as the speed gets higher. I've listened for a possible bad bearing, had the wheeels re-ballanced, etc. Took the wagon to the shop for advice and they told me the rear end was damaged. With parts and labor about $1k US. The mechanic suggested that it might have been improperly towed by the previous owner when she blew the engine. The vibrating is not super bad, but enough to make the mirrors vibe and generate vehicle noise, it can definitely be felt through the seats and steering wheel. The mechanic suggested to not take the car on any long haul road trips (which is specifically why I made the initial $600 investment to buy her in the first place) until I replace the rear end. Aside from this last kink, the car is in fine shape body and mechanically. Pictures are forthcoming.

What should I do??? Knowledgeable advice welcome.....thanks!!!

Did you ever get pictures of the rear. What part of the rear end is damaged?  Need to get under the rear and check it out.

Naw, no pictures yet. I'm still going back and forth with the mechanic that installed the engine as to it's actual condition. This used engine he installed is burning oil and runing less than smooth. I can live with the rear end the way it is, for now.
