Thought I'd give you a little peek at my little workhorse/winter chariot. I bought this car in Nov 2008 and although it could certainly benefit from a silvertop 4AGE transplant, it's a great, reliable, rust free Toyota. It came in through Outback Imports in Yukon, bought (for $6500) by a young gal and then driven to Ontario where it came to me 18 months later after she became disillusioned by the gouging she took at the local Toyota dealer since they didn't know what to do with the car.....

I bought another one last summer for parts, and my part time assistant loved it so I let him experiment with it and try to make it road worthy.  He bastardized it, zebra painted it, tried to RWD convert it by cutting the front shafts and then sawed the rear off and made a pickup out of it, but it was bringing down property values so we parted and scrapped the chassis. It was so rotted out, a light hit from a Suzuki would have broken that car in half!

Always interested to talk to fellow AE95 owners, and I'm looking for a 5 speed swap for it as well since the automagic trans is such a power pig and it's killing not only the mileage, but the driving experience.....

Overall, a great car, turns heads, lots of utility space for camping or hauling my car related crap around!

Cheers,
Phil "Supra Doc"

Yes, overall nice cars, albeit rare ones.  Mine still turns heads despite bumps.  Most people ask, "What is that?" since they've never seen one.  But that may have been prompted by the "Toyota All-Trac" on the front grille; when I replaced that grille with a more modern-looking Toyota "ova" symbol, I got fewer questions.

I've owned a lot of cars, but this A-T has been the single most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. And at 210K miles and counting . . .

1988 SR5 All-Trac 222K miles.

Is he the one who calls himself speed hero?

Sounds like an ae95 I saw posted online with zebra stripes and an ae92 side door...
