Has anyone replaced their CVs?
I'm looking at replacing both sides, do you think its safe to go with remanufactured CVs?
I found some on this site that are making my wallet drool a little bit.

Depending on where you're located, you may want to consider purchasing them from a local parts store. As much as I hate Autozone for most parts, they have pretty stellar deals on most cv axles. Looking online (for me, at least) they come to $70+ tax after the core charge including a lifetime warranty.

Buying online you have to deal with shipping costs, which isn't a big deal for small and even if they come with a warranty, you'd have to wait for the next axle to ship to you.

Odd.. when I went to rockauto.com they had prices ranging from 43$ to 63$.. I'm not seeing anything in the same price range as the ones you have listed.

I'm in Calgary, and After reading your post I called Napa, and they have them for about $110 with a $75 core. So, thanks! haha Your post opened my eyes a bit, I didn't think those would be available at a normal parts store. I was the type of person to "drive it till it dies" I'm new to the maintenance game and actually liking my car. =)

This car is going to drive like a dream when I'm done, reman'd CV's on both sides, reman'd rack and pinion, new power steering pump and hose, new tie rods. I'll be able to fall asleep and let it drive itself across Saskatchewan for sure! =D
