Hey everyone.
I'm considering selling my beloved All-Trac wagon. It has been a spiffy ride, and I will surely notice every All-Trac I see for the rest of my life. I'm at a point in my life where I simply don't drive anywhere, and I'd rather see an All-Trac lover who will wrench on (and hoon in) this car. Here're the details:
1988 Toyota Corolla DX All-Trac Wagon, silver with red pinstripes (the pinstripes make you extra-cool.) Clear title in hand. 212,000 miles on original 4A-FE and 5-speed manual transmission. That said, it's a 22-year-old 5-speed, so...no synchros. Get over it. Center differential locker works perfectly. This car was raised in Sacramento before it moved up to Humboldt with me, so it's rust-free, apart from a little speck by headlight. Aftermarket Kenwood deck that, as far as I can tell, provides a solid two watts to each speaker (of which there are two, but I have two new ones that I never hooked up.) I'll pull the bumper stickers off, but the racing number on the back goes with the car (you'll need it, trust me.) Air conditioning blows ice cold; we're talking Nash-Rambler-frost-on-vents status. Brr. The car comes with not only a Dead Kennedys tape that I found in the deck when I bought it, but I'll throw in an orca whale sounds tape AND an Eric B and Rakim tape. The liftgate stop light housing is missing pins, but has a nice duct-tape jacket. The steering column shroud is in a cardboard box, along with the aforementioned speakers and a Toyota Factory Service Manual.
There you have it. I would like to get $1000 USD for this car.
If you have any questions feel free to PM me, or just reply to the thread for the world to see.
Here's a batch of photos; the first few are from craigslist back when I bought the car, and the last five were taken this morning.

I left a few items out: new rear brake cylinders, motor mounts, distributor seal, and rear shocks were put in at the beginning of the year, along with a transaxle/transfer flush/fill. I've driven this car from San Francisco to Seattle and back, as well as up and down the north coast many times with no issues - it cruises effortlessly at 70mph and gets 29mpg on mid-grade gas (89 octane). Oil changed every 3000 miles. I can throw in more cassette tapes if it would pique the interest of potential buyers: Danny Elfman, Queen, Beck, etc.
For what it's worth, I'd be interested in trading for a running (or close to running) motorcycle - think 70's Honda CB or big Yamaha enduro (street legal), not fairing-frenzy crotch rocket or Harley.

I sent a friend of mine a link to this page, he's temporarily in Sacramento for a job.  He might be interested, I don't know, lol... he's driven mine once and even had a dream about buying one (or half of one - weird dream).

Hey, is that car still available?  I believe I know someone who would very likely be interested.

Thanks,
