All:

Has anyone on the forum replaced the wheel bearings in their car?

I live in a part of the country with rediculous labor rates and think I need to do it myself unless I want to be out $1000+.

I am looking around for a FSM so I can get a good idea of what must be done.  I know the hubs have to come off and the old bearings pressed out and new bearings pressed in.  One shop told me the whole rearend has to be dropped to do the back.

Anyway...typical that no shop around really knows about the car so I need guidance from all of you.

Thanks in advance!

Phil

I think I read something about replacing wheel bearings on ToyotaNation.  I've never replaced mine, but now you've got me thinking . . .

I think the rear end of the all-trac is very similar to the old Tercel 4wds (might even be the same diff) and the front maybe similar, if you go to Tercel4wd.com/forums and do some searches you will find much information. Good luck
