Does anyone know how to remove the inside front door panel? Specifically, I need to remove the inside front driver's side door knob, but can't seem to get the retainer ring off behind the door knob.  Then the panel comes off by clips.
The FSM shop manual is not very helpful in this regard.

you need to get that retainer ring off. I just used a pliers.
also the inside door handle/opener. there's a screw to remove
then the arm rest has two screws
I think thats it, you have to go up to get the trim off, as it goes inside the inner door panel for the glass sealing.

Thanks. It worked.  The original driver's door was bashed in by a bus; this is the replacement door.  I had the bus company's garage put in the new door (and I kept the old one just in case), but they didn't mount the window glass correctly.  I just should have done it myself; that's the big lesson I am getting from fixing these cars: do it yourself and save the hassle of having to redo it after someone else messes up/screws up.
