Hi guys! From frozen Russia (although Canadians can argue whose country is colder). I am sorry for my english --- I'm lazy and use Google translator =)

It's great that appeared an international forum dedicated to all-wheel drive Toyota AE-95 (Corolla All-Trac and the Sprinter Carib). Very strange situation that this model is sold in many countries, but the owners in each of them do not even know it. What complicates the exchange of information and operating experience.

I'll tell you a little about yourself. My name is Alex, age 23. Automotive journalist (http://www.apex.ru) and photographer. I live in Novosibirsk (the largest city in central Siberia --- and no, there are no bears on the streets =) ). I am the owner of the right-hand drive Toyota Sprinter Carib 1988 release. Previously, the car was standard 4A-FE and a automatic transmission A241. Now comes the process of installing a manual transmission E57 and engine 4A-GE Black Top (choice is deliberate. All the problems associated with this I know and try to solve them before the start of operation of the machine). You can visit my blog at the link http://www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota/carib/sprinter_carib_95/roots-nsk/. Unfortunately it is in Russian, but you can also use Google translator or ask me.

Welcome!  I like that dark blue color in the one picture.  Did you take it rally racing before it got "hurt?"   Glad to see you're keeping it running.

Basically used it for amateur competition. For example, ice racing. But a few years ago decided to go for real (also amateur) rally. I made a mistake in one of the corners and brushed three birch. Nothing serious, but it is insulting. Now the Caribbean is primarily a vehicle for everyday travel and work the same amateur competitions. For this rally you need a car with a safety cage. I really hope one day to prepare for these purposes AE86

My best friend moved to Canada from Novosibirsk in 1992. We have been friends since grade 6! Its nice to see russians here and a weird connection to see pictures of your car, and Novosibirsk!

WELCOME to the forum! Step 2 was very, very unfortunate. My wagon has been in 2 accidents so far, parts are rare here in Calgary, but I refuse to let it go. One day, a blacktop 20v!

I'm very interested in watching your rebuild progress!

How I love to joke - "Novosibirsk --- village very close." In the sense that one can always find common acquaintances, people are not familiar to this time. Apparently across the globe are also beginning to act. Give my greetings to your friend and my countryman.

Thank you! If the spare parts will be quite tight, you can feel free to contact us! While due to the massive AE-95 in Russia have enough spare parts and I think there is no difficulty to send them to Canada.

Including the 4A-GE =)

His last name is Borissov, if you happen to recognize it! =D

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I will definitely ask the favor of you when the time comes next (hopefully not for a long time!).

I'm back. Latest News

Engine and transmission took place under the hood. Now we need to be to collect the engine (intake and output, the generator and etc) and drive away a car to electrician

A lot. Even excluding the cost of the second Carib after a fire on parts already published about 20 000 RUB ($600)  on the motor and transmission. Painting 40 000 RUB . All together i think - 150 000 RUB (near $5300) with repair after accident on rally. Could buy Celica GT-Four ST185 (Alltrac in USA)

You are going to have a hand crank for your windshield wipers??

You could have bought a Celica GT-Four but then you wouldn't have a fast, awesome wagon! =D

You must love these wagons!

ALSO: regarding rally..

"...I really hope one day to prepare for these purposes AE86..."

So many people use the AE86 as a street or drift car. I would love to see an AE86 / 4AGZE rally car w/roll cage etc. - It'd be a serious beast.

Again in the air. As usual because of work time to work with the car almost none. Now the engine is fully installed, except the wiring. (photo engine is not yet compiled - forgot to make new ones)

So the question to the guys of Australia (or, for all those who put 4A-GE BT in Carib) - I need help with wiring diagram. Does anyone have survived wiring diagram?

I would be very grateful for the help.

In parallel, repair sills (all rust) and other places with rust.

I'd send a personal message to Kebin or Trbo Wgn

Or check out 4age.net

here's what a quick search on google turned up.

The guy who sold me my 7afe engine (for 7agze build) runs this website.
He's an engineer known as Sam-Q on toymods.com.au
He'll answer any questions you may have.
