(Everyone wants the parts that are standard in another country   )
I could not agree more.  Although my A-T is beat up, recently I've got some interest in it from others because it is manual. Me gusta el standard, pero yo no voy a dejarlo.  That's my gringo Spanish for "I like standards [that's what they call manual transmission stick shifts in Mexico], but I am not going to leave it/let it go."

Howdy, I'm Mitch, everyone calls me Pan or Panth (nickname I've had for more than 25 years).

I own a 1990 Carib Sprinter 1.6L AT, 4WD RHD. Just bought it yesterday.

I am in Comox BC, Canada.  I was directed here by Tercel4WD.com

I had an opportunity to pick up another All-Trac for cheap...so since I was so impressed with the feel, ride etc... of the one I bought earlier this week...I thought two would be better than one!

Its a 1988 automatic, with 210,000 km on it...needs some work but I only paid $260 for it so I dont mind!

So now I am in deep!

It's a contagious thing - I own three and I still websearch for them and think of the different ways I would like to mod' each one. if I could own them all I would.
I know some people on the toymods and other sites consider them ugly but I love 'em and think they look a lot better than some of the boxier shaped AE** corollas..

KE** corolla wagons a real old skool kool tho'

Late 80's / Early 90's is a good mix of old and new technology though... Just around the time when ECU's came into play. So you get the benefit of Electronic Fuel Injection but not sooooo much computer throughotu the whole car..

Hey how's it going guys?? Names Will and I'm from Long Island, New York in the states. I just picked up my second all~trac about three weeks ago and relized how much I love these strange lil wagons (even though this ones auto). My first, a 89  tha my pops and I got 4yrs agofor free to go to the junk yard. Now me being the big corolla head tha I am, I was very interested to know what exactly the car was. So upon looking this car over and studying it I noticed the the battery was disconnected, so of course I hooked it up and the beeping noise started for the key in the ignition. The car started rite up ! We drove it back to the house. It drove mint minus the low air in the tires. Over all the car had 109k mileson the clock, body wise wasn't the greatest, rusted behind the rear wheels and hit in rear also. We replace the hatch and strightend it out as best as possible. At the time I was having issues with the vehicle tha I was driving, so I put the car on the road and loved every second I was in the car. Sadly it only lasted me 4 months but had a lot of fun in the snow, woods, mud, and on the beach. And never once got the car stuck !! It took me these 4 years to finally find another one, but I found this 92 and couldnt let this slip! I paid 1100 for it (it was worth it only a lil bit of rust on the passenger side behind the rear wheel). The car has over 204k miles and runs like a champ !!! Although it auto lol. I'm in the process rite now of locating a 4agze to match to my 5 spd from the 89 and drop it in to the 92. I just really love have such odd and rare cars! And these cars are rare around here !!! In 91 there were only 9 or so sold. So ya hard to find parts and even worst Im the only one tha I know with the 5spd around here. But ya like I said I love these strange lil wagons so much!!!!!

hey dude welcome,

Sonds like you know your way around cars/corollas a bit.

If you're serious about the 4agze conversion, there's a good write up on toymods from a guy who's user name is Kebin (he's on here as well)

I'm with you on this... if I find another manual wagon for a reasonable price around here, I'm totally grabbing it.  I've gotten two other people interested in these wagons, though neither has bought one (because they just aren't around here!).

This is the reason I love my two cars.  Both are fuel injected, but not too new (1988 wagon, 1994 del Sol) to have all kinds of scary electronic parts (drive by wire).  Imagine "drive by wire" steering, and it fails.  What the hell do you do??

I'm in my 40's.. I like Yota's I've had a couple of R20/R22 trucks, my sister has a Corolla Sedan, they're almost as good as a Mazda, and the price was right. I got mine for $700 cdn.

Pics will have to wait for this damn rain to stop (maybe this afternoon)

Hi,
Name's Wez. Thanks Jedzwagon for directing me here (several months ago!) Sorry I never got back to your message, I'm not the best ebayer. (I had the greenyblue two tone AE95)
Currenlty offloading a navy blue AE95 XL on Ebay as I'm going overseas and need the cash! At least I'll still have ol' whitey for when I get back.
Anyway, my car is a white 1991 SR5 AE95, it's not much different to any others though it does have a rear spoiler. You'd notice it round if you see me, it's also now got a bull bar and roof racks.
I use it for everything, they're great cars. I live on a farm and I use it on the paddocks (I take care of it!). I go camping in it. I'm a muso so it's great for equipment and city gigs. All round great car.
Look forward to seeing more of this site.
Cheers

Thanks for the info Jedzwagon,

I was curious as to ride height as mine looked to be sitting lower than others I had seen, with new shocks now it does seem to sit higher

Hello from California!!! Just picked up a 1990 last week and have fallen in love. I've got a lot of questions and a lot of work I want to do to the wagon so I'll be poking around here a lot.

Hi Wez,
You sound as bad as me ..I own 3 of these things too.

If I remember correctly you're in Diggers Rest... I'm wondering if you know of any suitable trails in wombat state forest or gack of Gisborne and so on, that are suitable for our wagons.

I used to be a muso.., Not so much these days but I still have some guitars and recording equipment kicking around.
Look us up if you like, once you're back from travels. I'm around your way from time to time as I have friends and family in Melton and Sunbury... Also looking to explore some of the smaller creeks around Sunbury, Gisborne Bachus Marsh and Ballan etc.. for brown trout..

Will look out for your white bullbarred beast.
