All-Trac Wagon Network  /  Models  /  Any Diesel Corolla All-Trac Wagons?

Hello all,

I own an '88 Toyota Corolla, and it's been the best car I've ever owned. I'm from Canada, and drove from Calgary to Prince Edward Island on the east coast and back without a single incident.

Wish only it would have been diesel... Unfortunately, diesel Corollas don't seem to have ever arrived to Canada.

I discovered the Corolla All-Trac wagons, and find them of special interest, given that we're a small family and we travel a lot.

I wonder if there was a Corolla All-Trac wagon with a diesel engine ever available? In what country(es) would have it been released?

...and, of course, I'm now actively looking for a Corolla All-Trac wagon, any offers please let me know.

Cheers from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

To my knowledge, the corolla diesel were sold in Europe and japan only ... perhaps the middle east.

I would be very not inclined to buy a Corrola with an diesel engine that has not been marketed in America.

Good point David, the parts would be rather hard to source out unless you really knew what you were doing with small diesel engines. Also, those little diesels don't like the Canadian winter that much, they need to be babied from what I've heard. Garage, constantly plugged in, etc. ;)

yeah they did come in diesel but I've never seen on in my life not even online... From what I read in a book I have on just about every production line car ever made, the deisel version of this car isn't worth a mention...

I've always been interested to see:

1) if I could find one
2) What mod's could be done to make it worth a mention
3) the pay off would be long distance traveling outback at cheap prices

Drkam: I don't know if you're still around, but I've seen at least 3 or 4 on kijiji recently, theres on in Pincher Creek for sale that is in reasonable shape, needs a new head gasket ... OR A BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED 4AFE from the wreck sitting in my alley!

Private message me if you're still around I'll send you the guy's email
